about

"Run Back In My Arms" is the second single from Dana Countryman's album "Pop3! Welcome To My Time Warp".

From Dana: "I wrote this song to try and capture the feel of the kind of AM Radio pop music that I heard, growning up in the late '60s. It was a lot of fun to record this one. My friends Matt Tyson and Frank Young added important musical contributions, and Scott Bennett (from the Brian Wilson Band), stepped in and played electric guitar that fit perfectly into the song."

lyrics

RUN BACK INTO MY ARMS
w&m by Dana Countryman

Won't you run back into my arms, pretty baby?
Won't you come back where you belong, and just maybe
I can make you see
you're the one girl for me
And my love is so true
Let me prove it to you
And if you run back into my arms, pretty darlin',
don't you ever stray from my arms, pretty darlin',
'cause they're open wide
Won't you nestle inside?
So just kiss me and then,
say you'll never run away again

I thought we had a perfect love,
but little did I know
I thought you loved me, baby,
never thought I'd see you go
but you walked out and left me cryin'
never even said goodbye and
is it really such a crime
for me to ask you one more time?...

Won't you run back into my arms, pretty Baby?
Won't you come back where you belong, and just maybe
I can make you see
you're the one girl for me
And my love is so true
Let me prove it to you
And if you run back into my arms, pretty darlin',
don't you ever stray from my arms, pretty darlin',
'cause they're open wide
Won't you nestle inside?
So just kiss me and then,
say you'll never run away again

Since you've been gone
I've been lonely and blue
So give me a chance, girl,
that's all I'm asking of you

Won't you run back into my arms, pretty Baby?
Won't you come back where you belong, and just maybe
I can make you see
you're the one girl for me
So just kiss me and then,
say you'll never run away again

Run back into my arms now, baby
Run back into my arms now, baby
